Cards

The large cards sit above the login area. When more than one is on, the timer card sits at the bottom, High Alert stacks above it, and Now Playing lifts above both.

  • Now Playing with artwork and transport controls, and timed lyrics when the Lyrics Droplet is on.
  • Timer, from the Pomodoro Droplet, and High Alert, from its own. Each has an optional darker background so the countdown stays readable on a bright wallpaper.
  • Artwork card and a fullscreen animated artwork mode for Apple Music and Spotify animated covers.

Status widgets row

A centered row of chips under the clock. Four are built in: your Mac's battery, your headphone or AirPods battery, sunrise and sunset, and air quality. Pick a widget style, regular, liquid or frosted, and a text color if the automatic white does not suit your wallpaper.

Droplets on the lock screen

Twelve Droplets add a chip of their own, and each has its own switch here. A chip only appears while its Droplet has something to say, so a lock screen with all twelve on is still empty when nothing is running.

The Weather chip is gated on the Weather Droplet itself, not just on the lock screen switch. Turning the Droplet off takes the chip down even with the switch still on, which is deliberate: a Droplet that is off should cost nothing anywhere.

Sliders and sounds

Volume and brightnessiOS-style sliders on the left edge. The first press opens the wide pill; follow-up presses hand off to a thin pill so it gets out of the way.
Keep screen awakeHolds the display on at the lock screen.
Lock and unlock soundsPlay the moment the screen locks or unlocks.
