Lid Fold

Opens and closes like a Duo.

Your MacBook opens and closes like an iPhone Duo. As the lid comes down, what the screen shows floats up into the top edge of the display: the bottom stays put, the picture narrows and recedes with depth, blur and light falling away, then comes back down the moment you open the lid, on the exact curve of Apple's Duo animation, frame for frame.

What it does

Close the lid and what the screen shows floats up into the top edge of the display, the bottom pinned, the top narrowing and receding as focus and light fall away. Open it and the picture comes back down, tracking the hinge one to one. Needs a MacBook with a lid angle sensor, and can only be switched on there. Pick the filmed Duo pace or a quicker one, and preview the whole fold from Settings.

  • Folds with the lid on MacBooks with a hinge sensor
  • Frame-accurate to the iPhone Duo animation
  • Depth blur and light falling away as the picture recedes
  • Duo, brisk or quick tempo
  • Preview the fold from Settings any time
