Run focused work timers from the notch with quick start/stop controls and a clear countdown. It keeps session tracking visible without opening a separate timer app.

What it does

How to use it

  1. Pick any length with one slider and start it from the shelf. Opening the widget starts it immediately with your last settings; right-click the widget to choose manually instead.
  2. Give the session a focus title if it helps you remember what you sat down to do.
  3. Turn on ambient sound for the length of the timer: brown noise, pink noise, fireplace or airplane.

The lock screen shows the countdown while a session runs, on its own card above the login area.

Workflows

25 and 5, without an app

Set the length once, then start from the shelf or a Ring button. The countdown runs in the notch and on the lock screen, so it is visible whatever you are doing.

Mirror an Apple Clock timer

Turn on Clock timer mirroring and a timer started in Apple's Clock app shows up here, so the two never disagree.

Tips

  • The Ring can carry pause and resume, next section, and a plain stopwatch, which is the fastest way to run one without opening the widget.
  • Keep the timer visible in the notch if you would rather see it than be surprised by it.
  • Live Activities on the iPhone track the same timer, and you can scrub it from there.
