Live weather on your shelf and lock screen

Keep the current conditions, temperature, and hourly outlook one glance away on your shelf and lock screen. Pick a fixed city or use automatic location from your Mac, choose a dynamic, dark, or Liquid Glass card, and tune how often the forecast refreshes.

What it does

  • Live conditions with an hourly outlook
  • Fixed custom city or automatic location
  • Dynamic, dark, or Liquid Glass card styles
  • Optional weather chip on the lock screen

How to use it

  1. Choose automatic location from your Mac, or search for a fixed city.
  2. Pick Celsius, Fahrenheit or the location's own default, and how often the forecast refreshes.
  3. Choose the card style: dynamic, dark, or Liquid Glass.

Where it shows up

  • Shelf widget
  • Lock screen
  • Global shortcut
  • Droppy for iPhone

The lock screen chip shows the temperature and the current condition. It is gated on this Droplet, so turning the Droplet off takes the chip down even with the lock screen toggle still on.

Workflows

Know before you stand up

The shelf card carries the current conditions and the hourly outlook, and the lock screen chip carries the temperature, so a glance answers it.

Tips

  • If Location Services is unavailable, an optional network fallback estimates an approximate place from your IP address.
  • The lock screen chip is this Droplet's surface, so turning the Droplet off takes the chip down even with the lock screen toggle still on.
  • The phone shows your Mac's forecast in the phone's own units.
