Updates and channels

Droppy updates itself. Pick how early you want to see new work under Settings, About, Software update. Your data carries across every channel.

StableThe default. Finished releases, and the download this website serves.

BetaThe next release while it is still being finished. Its notes cover everything since the previous beta.

NightlyBuilds cut as the work lands. Nightly is never the download on this site: it only reaches Macs that picked the Nightly channel here.

Whatever channel you are on, an update arrives as a Live Activity in the notch and as a card in Settings with that release's notes. Your settings, clipboard history, shelf contents and Droplet configuration all carry across, including when you move between channels.
