Show notifications in your notch

Bring notifications into the notch HUD with app-aware display options. It helps you triage incoming updates quickly while keeping interruptions compact and controlled.

What it does

How to use it

  1. Turn it on and choose which apps it captures. Everything else keeps using the macOS banner.
  2. Optionally let Droppy hide the native banner, so a notification appears in one place rather than two.
  3. Set an auto-dismiss delay, and pick which Focus modes hold banners back.
  4. Reply to iMessage, WhatsApp and Telegram straight from the notch. Messages replies need Messages access; the notification store needs Full Disk Access.

The lock screen chip shows the notification count and the latest message.

Workflows

Triage without leaving fullscreen

A notification arrives in the notch instead of the corner, you read it, and you swipe it away. The fullscreen app never loses the frame.

Answer a message in three seconds

Click the notification, type the reply inline, send. Auto-hide after replying puts the notch back the way it was.

Tips

  • Per-app filtering is the setting that makes this bearable: capture the two apps you care about, not all of them.
  • Apple Mail live alerts are a separate switch, because Mail's own notification behaviour is unusual.
  • The lock screen chip shows the count and the latest message.
