DockDoor

DockDoor's Dock previews and window switcher, by ejbills

DockDoor brings live window previews to the Dock and a window switcher that replaces the one macOS never gave you. This droplet is DockDoor's own source, ported into Droppy as one external droplet with the author's permission.

Free with Droppy. Switch it on in Settings, Droplet Store.

What it does

Hover an app in the Dock and its windows appear above it: click one to switch, close, minimize or quit it, or use the traffic lights on the card. Hold the switcher's shortcut to cycle through every open window, search by title, and switch with the modifier release, Return or a click. A second trigger can open the same switcher filtered to one app or one Space.

DockDoor's media and calendar widgets take the place of previews on the Dock icon that owns them, and its active-app indicator marks the frontmost app on the Dock. Every option DockDoor had for the switcher and the previews is on the droplet's pages, rebuilt as Droppy's native grouped settings, with Droppy's Dynamic Glass behind the preview panel by default.

DockDoor Pro and the donation page are linked on the Support page: both go straight to DockDoor's developer. DockDoor is GPL-3.0; the port is published in the Droplet Store under the same licence.
