Refund policy

1. The short version

A Droppy license is digital content delivered the moment you pay, so purchases are final. That rule has real exceptions, and they are listed below rather than buried.

• If the law where you live gives you a refund or cancellation right that cannot be signed away, you keep it in full. See section 3.
• Duplicate and accidental purchases are always refunded. See section 4.
• If a license key never reached you, that is a delivery failure and we put it right. See section 5.

2. Purchases are final

Droppy is a one-time purchase. Payment issues a perpetual license key that is emailed to you immediately, covers two Macs, and includes all future updates. Outside the rights described in this policy, license fees are not refundable.

Droppy is free to download and can be used before you buy, so you can find out whether it suits your Mac without paying first.

3. Statutory rights that always apply

Nothing in this policy removes a refund, cancellation, or cooling-off right that the law where you live does not allow to be waived. Where such a right applies, it overrides section 2 in full.

• EU and EEA: if you bought as a consumer, you have 14 days from the day of purchase to withdraw from the contract and receive a full refund, under the Consumer Rights Directive. Droppy does not ask for the express consent and acknowledgment that the Directive requires in order to waive this right for immediately delivered digital content, so the right stands in full. It applies even if you have already downloaded and used Droppy, and you do not need to give a reason.
• United Kingdom: if you bought as a consumer, you have the same 14 day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. That right has not been waived either, for the same reason, so it also applies in full and needs no reason.
• Brazil: if you bought as a consumer, you have 7 days from purchase or delivery to cancel and receive a full refund, under Article 49 of the Consumer Defense Code. No reason is needed.
• Anywhere else: if your local consumer law gives you a refund, cancellation, or cooling-off right that cannot be contracted away, you have that right here too. Tell us where you bought from and we will apply it.

4. Duplicate and accidental purchases

If you were charged twice for the same license, completed the same order twice, or bought more keys than you meant to, the extra charge is refunded. You do not need to make a case for it. Email us with the address used at checkout and we will sort it out.

5. Keys that never arrived

If your payment went through and no license key reached you, that is a delivery failure on our side rather than a refund request. We will reissue the key or refund the purchase, whichever you prefer. It is worth checking your spam folder first, since license mail sometimes lands there, and the Recover license page can resend a key to the original address straight away.

6. How to request a refund

Email hi@getdroppy.app from the address you used at checkout, or name that address in your message, and say what you would like to happen. Most replies go out within two business days.

If something in Droppy is not working for you, we would appreciate the chance to look at it first, because most reports turn into a fix within days. That is a request, not a requirement. You never have to troubleshoot, install an update, explain your reasoning, or wait on support before a refund you are entitled to is issued.

7. After a refund

Refunds are returned to the original payment method through Stripe. Banks typically post them within 5 to 10 business days. The refunded license key is deactivated when the refund is issued and stops working on your Macs.

8. Chargebacks

If something is wrong, email us before contacting your bank. A chargeback is slower for you than a refund and locks the license while the bank reviews it. Unauthorized chargebacks or repeated abusive refund activity may result in suspension of license services, as set out in section 6 of the Terms of service.

9. Changes to this policy

Droppy may update this policy. The version published at the time of your purchase is the version that governs that purchase. Updates take effect when posted with a new effective date.
