Upload files to Droppy Cloud and get a share page link copied immediately. Shares expire after 3 days and can be deleted early to free space right away.

How to use it

  1. Drop files on the Shelf and pick the cloud tile, use the Basket's share action, or upload from the menu bar. The link is copied for you.
  2. Turn on Require upload confirmation if you would rather be asked before anything leaves the Mac.
  3. Every live share is listed in Droppy's menu bar with its own delete button, so ending a share early is one click.

Workflows

Send something too big to email

200 MB per file and 1 GB per link, with the link on your clipboard before the upload finishes negotiating. Paste it and carry on.

Share a screenshot without saving it first

Element Capture can save straight to Droppy Cloud and auto-copy the link, so the file never has to exist in a folder.

Tips

  • Shares expire after 3 days on their own. Deleting one early frees your allowance immediately.
  • The lock screen chip shows how many links are live and how much of the 1 GB per-installation allowance they use.
  • The cloud Quick Action tile can point at Dropbox or Google Drive instead, if that is where your files belong.
  • Droppy Cloud is not end to end encrypted, unlike Droppy Sync. Encrypt anything confidential yourself first.
