Ring
Hold a shortcut, pick from a ring of actionsHold one shortcut and a ring of buttons opens in the middle of your screen. Move to a button and let go to run it, or tap the shortcut and click. Fill the ring with a preset from your capture, window and dictation droplets, mix any of their actions into your own ring, and switch on a second inner ring to keep two sets under one shortcut.
What it does
- One shortcut for the whole ring
- Presets for Element Capture, Window Snap, Voice Transcribe and more
- Mix any actions into your own ring
- Single, dual or triple rings
- Hold, move and let go, or click a button
How to use it
- Record one shortcut. Hold it and a ring of buttons opens at your pointer; move to one and let go to run it. Or tap to open, then click.
- Fill it from a preset built out of your capture, window and dictation Droplets, then swap in whatever else you want.
- Turn on a second inner ring, or a third, to keep two or three sets of actions under the same shortcut.
Where it shows up
- Global shortcut
Workflows
One shortcut instead of eight
Element Capture's modes, Window Snap's layouts and Voice Transcribe all fit on one ring, so you remember one combination instead of a page of them.
A different ring inside one app
App overrides give a specific app its own ring, so the same key offers capture actions in a browser and window actions in your editor.
Your own macros
Add a keyboard macro, a macOS Shortcut, or just an app to open. They sit beside Droppy's own actions and look the same.
Tips
- Almost everything is available: capture modes, OCR area and file, every snap action, voice modes, media transport, meeting controls, the shelf and any widget on it, Thunderstorm, clipboard and copy-and-favourite, the basket switcher, Termi-Notch, High Alert with a button per duration, Pomodoro with pause and stopwatch, Droppy Cloud, tasks, a new note, Droppy Settings, lock screen and sleep.
- Hold, move and release is faster than tap and click once your hand knows where a button is. The ring does not move between uses.
