MCP

Let AI apps use Droppy, with your permissionUpcoming update

Let your AI app work with Droppy's clipboard, files, calendar, notes, timers, media and Thunderstorm commands. Connect supported apps from MCP settings, choose their permissions and review what they do. Turning the droplet off closes its connections and stops access.

What it does

  • Connect buttons for Claude, Claude Code, Cursor and Codex
  • Each permission has its own switch
  • Approval before sensitive or destructive actions
  • Review connected apps and their activity
  • Supports tools from compatible installed droplets

How to use it

  1. Turn on MCP in the Droplet Store, then open its settings.
  2. Choose which permissions to allow. Every permission starts off.
  3. Use the Connect button for Claude, Claude Code, Cursor or Codex, then follow any instructions shown for that app.
  4. Ask your connected AI app to use Droppy. Review permission requests before allowing sensitive actions.

Where it shows up

It has no widget, no chip and no shortcut. It changes how your Mac already behaves, everywhere, and you turn it on or off from its own panel under Settings, Store.

Workflows

Choose what an AI app can use

Enable only the permissions you want, such as clipboard, notes or timers. Read the MCP guide for connection and permission details.

Review or stop access

Check connected apps and their activity in MCP settings. Turn the droplet off to close every connection and stop access.

Tips

  • MCP connects an AI app to Droppy. It does not require turning on Thunderstorm's separate AI chat.
  • Turning MCP off keeps your settings so you can enable it again later.
