Droppy 15.2.2 beta 1: the complete update, installable again

This is the complete Droppy update: new capture tools, Google Calendar, a more capable clipboard, new live HUDs and extensive fixes.

The two 15.2.1 betas were withdrawn after their downloads failed to install, so the beta channel stayed on 15.2.0-beta.1. This build carries everything they contained, with the installation problem fixed at its cause.

Updates install from every earlier version again

The withdrawn betas shipped three downloads sharing one notarization identity, so Apple's record for the universal build ended up covering only Apple Silicon. Macs that had never seen Droppy were told it was not notarized. Each download now carries its own identity, and the release stops if two ever match.

A complete capture workflow

Area, Fullscreen, Window, Element and Scrolling capture share a compact toolbar with OCR, Color Picker, a timer and exact dimensions. Native popovers accompany corrected clicks, crosshairs, focus and window selection. Saved backgrounds and clean screenshot-card drags complete it.

Your Google Calendar inside Droppy

Connect your own Google account, select calendars and manage events inside Droppy. Google verification is pending; the sign-in popover explains the warnings and early-access limits.

A more useful clipboard

Copied links get richer cards, pinboards can be reordered, and history has retention, unlimited storage, shortcut and sync controls. Pinned entries return with a pin badge, a subtle red tint and a setting for where they sit.

More live activity in the notch

Wi-Fi and Personal Hotspot connections get HUDs, external drives offer safe eject, and screen recordings have live controls and finished-video previews.

Settings responds again

Settings pages showing preview cards could freeze for over a minute. The deferred section loading behind it is reverted everywhere except the Shortcuts page, which measurably benefited. Setup buttons now open the shortcuts for the feature you pressed them from.

Crash fixes and everyday controls

Lid-close sync, notch reveal, screenshot-stack, window capture, background Wi-Fi refresh and malformed-data crashes are fixed. Ring handles resized Settings, full layouts, macros, hold-and-release selection and Light Mode contrast. Clipboard previews, widget scrolling, artwork timing and hover respond correctly.

Fourteen further areas of fixes

Fourteen further fixes cover updater handoff, readable updater errors, crash diagnostics, owner-only updater resources, Sync authorization, deleted notes, LocalSend, preview cleanup, location permissions, lock-screen sleep, clipboard editing, right-to-left controls, third-party recordings and Settings input.

Eleven more additions

Eleven more additions include screenshot Space previews, capture text selection, window backgrounds, Weather units, Ring speeds, right-click choices, Full Battery cards, native-banner hiding, Apple Mail alerts, recording audio sync and chip-specific downloads.

Polish and less background work

Shortcuts moves into the sidebar, with consistent buttons, native fields, fonts, icons and HUD spacing. Smaller packaging and less background work accompany refinements to Calendar layout, lock-screen refreshes, track titles, shadows and translations. Droppy Sync also writes far less to disk.

Nine more refinements

Nine more refinements cover PDF compression that preserves masked artwork, page checks before a compressed file is accepted, smoked glass during capture, pin-order translations, the Safari homepage entrance, RSS headlines, quieter startup and faster shortcut navigation.
