This is the complete Droppy update: new capture tools, Google Calendar, a more capable clipboard, new live HUDs and extensive fixes.
Beta 1 was withdrawn after installation failures and crashes. Beta 2 includes the full update and the recovery fixes below; I am sorry for the disruption.
A complete capture workflow
Area, Fullscreen, Window, Element and Scrolling capture share a compact toolbar with OCR, Color Picker, a timer and exact dimensions. Native popovers and animations accompany corrected clicks, crosshairs, focus and window selection. Saved backgrounds, one-capture overrides and clean screenshot-card drags complete the workflow, including file attachments for chat fields.
Your Google Calendar inside Droppy
Connect your own Google account, select calendars and manage events inside Droppy. Google verification is still pending; the sign-in popover explains warnings and early-access limits, and some accounts may be blocked until approval.
A more useful clipboard
Copied links get richer cards, pinboards can be reordered, and history has retention, unlimited storage, shortcut and sync controls. Reusable previews and less background work improve scrolling, screenshot preparation and Basket transfers.
More live activity in the notch
Wi-Fi and Personal Hotspot connections get HUDs, external drives offer safe eject, and screen recordings have live controls and finished-video previews.
Crash fixes and everyday controls
Lid-close sync, notch reveal, screenshot-stack and malformed-data crashes are fixed. Accurate OCR handles small macOS 27 selections; Ring handles resized Settings, full layouts and special-key macros. Clipboard Space previews, widget mouse scrolling, artwork timing, notch hover and conversion controls respond correctly.
Twelve further areas of fixes
Twelve further fixes cover updater handoff, Sync authorization, deleted notes, LocalSend, preview cleanup, location permissions, lock-screen sleep, clipboard editing, right-to-left controls, third-party recordings, microphone choices and Settings input.
Eleven more additions
Eleven more additions include screenshot Space previews, capture text selection, window backgrounds, Weather units, Ring speeds, right-click choices, Full Battery cards, native-banner hiding, Apple Mail alerts, recording audio sync and chip-specific downloads.
Polish and less background work
Shortcuts moves into the sidebar, with consistent buttons, native fields, fonts, icons and HUD spacing. Smaller packaging and less background work accompany refinements to Calendar layout and notices, lock-screen refreshes, Ring app selection, track titles, shadows, translations and HUD sizing.
Updates from existing installations
Universal and native downloads now use separate signed identities, preventing the installation security failure in older updaters. Droppy prepares and verifies its replacement before closing, so failed preparation leaves the running app available.
Two more crash fixes
Window capture now retains image storage while trimming transparent borders. Background Wi-Fi refreshes run on their intended queue, fixing both reported crash paths.
Clearer errors and finishing touches
Installation errors are scrollable and selectable; crash reports include useful binary identifiers and offsets. Right-click Hide works after hover expansion, and release articles use matching headlines in RSS.
