Beta 6 is about music, on the Mac. Kaset, a community droplet by Anurag Deshpande, puts YouTube Music in the notch with the same player Apple Music and Spotify get, and Discord Rich Presence shows your profile what you are listening to.
YouTube Music, in the notch
Kaset is a community droplet by Anurag Deshpande, and it treats YouTube Music the way Droppy treats Apple Music and Spotify: the full player in the notch, the Playing Next queue, shuffle, repeat and like, all without touching the browser.
It also got a hard settling pass before shipping. Cover art no longer flickers through placeholders on a track change, the progress bar reads the real position, the controls hold their state after a skip, and the queue lands on the right list first time.
Your profile knows the song
Discord Rich Presence rides along with Kaset, Apple Music and Spotify, so your profile shows the track you are on. Every part of it is a switch: title, artist, album, artwork and progress each show only if you want them shown.
Around it sit smaller additions: Spotify tracks carry their cover art onto your profile, a connection row in Settings says whether Droppy is linked to Discord, and annotations in the screenshot editor now die by right-click or the Delete key.
The things that were wrong
Dragging the brightness slider on an external monitor used to freeze Droppy's animations for as long as the drag lasted, because the hardware conversation ran on the drawing thread. It does not anymore, and hover-to-open stopped dying after a display went away.
Droppy Sync could go quiet after a licence check blip, still reading as paired while nothing moved; it recovers on its own now. Behind those sit 72 more fixes, spread over Droppy Sync, the screenshot editor, Settings and the notch.
Faster where you feel it
Settings opens like it should now. General, the Store and every droplet page paint on the first click, scrolling stopped stuttering, and the menu bar menu was rebuilt on the native macOS menu, so it opens and highlights instantly.
Idle battery got attention too: the notch no longer polls while your pointer merely rests near the top of the screen, and large first syncs publish in batches, keeping their progress when interrupted. Another 44 refinements follow, across Droppy Sync, the lock screen and the media players.
