# DropletDisplayCutout

What sits in the middle of a display's top edge, inside the closed shape Droppy draws there (1.22.0).

`enum DropletDisplayCutout`

What sits in the middle of a display's top edge, inside the closed shape Droppy draws there (1.22.0). Read it from [`cutout`](https://getdroppy.app/docs/droppykit/api/droplet-notch-geometry#cutout).

Not frozen: a later Mac may bring another kind of camera cutout. Switch with `@unknown default` and treat an unknown case as `notch`: keep [`closedWidth`](https://getdroppy.app/docs/droppykit/api/droplet-notch-geometry#closed-width) clear in the middle of a strip.

## Cases

### DropletDisplayCutout.none

`case none`

No hardware inside the shape: the island on a display without a camera cutout, the island a notched Mac is set to draw below its camera, or a notch drawn on a display without one. Nothing in the middle is hidden.

### DropletDisplayCutout.notch

`case notch`

A camera notch, every notched MacBook since 2021: the closed shape is drawn around it, flush with the screen's top edge.

### DropletDisplayCutout.cameraIsland

`case cameraIsland`

The camera island of the MacBook Pro with an OLED display: a small camera pill a few points below the screen's top edge, in place of a notch. Droppy is always the island on that display, and the resting island is the pill itself.
