A few hours after beta 2, two of you told us on Discord that Notes had filled up with files from Documents. Beta 3 fixes that, cleans up after it, and adds the Notes shortcut someone asked for the same afternoon.

- 0 files touched in your folders
- 2 new shortcuts for Notes

## What went wrong in beta 2

Beta 2 moved Thunderstorm's notes into Notes by reading the folder Thunderstorm used to keep them in. For anyone who had pointed that folder at Documents, it read every Markdown and text file in Documents and its subfolders, and synced them on to the iPhone and Apple Notes.

Your files were never changed. Now, when the old folder is a general one like Documents, Desktop or your home folder, only the notes the old notes window wrote come in, and every other file stays where it is.

The notes beta 2 copied from those other files go away once after updating. Droppy first waits for Droppy Sync and Apple Notes to catch up, so an edit you made on your iPhone arrives first, and it only removes a note that is still exactly its file, not pinned and without a shortcut.

## Notes, one key away

Settings, Shortcuts, Notes now starts with Show notes, which brings up the floating notes window or hides it, and New note, which starts one. Both work from any app, with Thunderstorm on or off.

Below them, the shortcuts for single notes list the ones you gave a shortcut and your latest notes, eight at most, with the rest folded under Show all notes instead of one row per note.
